Job description

The Professional Penguin Family of Companies is seeking a Full-Time Marketing Associate that supports marketing, communications, and customer engagement efforts for our family of brands, which includes JAN-PRO Cleaning & Disinfecting, Jan-Supply, Penguin Junk Removal, and ChompChomp Kicks. This role helps promote services, maintain brand consistency, support sales initiatives, and assist with digital marketing and customer communications, reporting directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing. 

The ideal candidate is creative, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Core Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications

  • Assist with creating and scheduling social media content including but not limited to static, short-form video, long-form video, carousels, text, and more. 
  • Help maintain the company online presence
  • Design basic marketing materials using Canva and/or Adobe 
  • Support email marketing campaigns and traditional marketing initiatives
  • Create promotional content highlighting services, products, and company updates
  • Assist with photography and content collection at customer sites, events, or company projects

Sales & Customer Support

  • Help prepare sales materials, flyers, presentations, and promotional campaigns
  • Support customer outreach and follow-up communications
  • Assist with organizing customer and prospect contact information utilizing Zoho CRM

Brand & Community Presence

  • Promote company services and products through social media and digital platforms
  • Assist with community involvement, networking events, trade shows, and local business partnerships
  • Help coordinate customer appreciation initiatives and referral campaigns
  • Support online review and reputation management efforts

Administrative Support

  • Maintain organized marketing files, templates, and content calendars
  • Track basic marketing metrics including social media engagement and email performance
  • Assist with data entry and updating customer information
  • Support additional office and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms
  • Experience with Canva, Microsoft Office, and basic marketing tools preferred
  • Comfortable learning new software and systems
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Positive attitude with strong customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain professionalism in customer-facing communications

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in marketing, customer service, administrative support, or sales support
  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact is a plus
  • Photography, video editing, or graphic design skills are beneficial
  • Experience in commercial services, facilities management, or janitorial industry is helpful but not required

This position is 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and salary range is $45-50K depending on experience.
