Job description

Job Summary

The Senior Marketing Communications Specialist is to lead integrated communications initiatives that elevate our brand, engage audiences, and support business growth. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution across messaging, brand identity, digital communications, and creative production. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a keen eye for design, and excels at delivering well-architected insight-driven messaging across internal and external channels.

Job Duties

Messaging & Creative Content

  • Create compelling sales enablement materials (leave-behinds, brochures, product sheets, pitch decks), internal communications, newsletters, and technical sheets in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Translate technical and complex content into clear, visually engaging messaging that resonates with diverse audiences.
  • Develop well-architected, insight-driven messaging to strengthen brand voice and audience engagement.

Brand & Visual Identity

  • Design, manage, and maintain brand assets - including logos, packaging, and facility visuals - for a consistent, professional look and feel.
  • Ensure all marketing materials and communications reflect MPS’s brand standards and visual identity.

Communications & Social Media

  • Plan and execute email communications campaigns using tools like Constant Contact, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar platforms.
  • Collaborate with the team to understand and produce visually engaging LinkedIn content that aligns with strategic messaging.

Event & Trade Show Support

  • Develop marketing collateral for events and tradeshows, including booth graphics, invites, and promotional materials.
  • Partner with the Events & Trade Show team to ensure messaging and creative assets align with overall event strategy.

Creative Production

  • Collaborate with the Videographer to coordinate product and facility photography and support multimedia content creation.

Team Support & Leadership

  • Mentor junior design and communications talent to foster growth and maintain high standards.
  • Collaborate with HR, engineering, and corporate teams on internal and external projects, ensuring messaging and design are aligned with business goals.

General Responsibilities

  • Track and document communications projects and campaign performance for continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with marketing communications trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Ensure all work aligns with brand guidelines, corporate standards, and internal policies.

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing communications, creative strategy, or related discipline.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Email Marketing tools, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage cross-functional collaborations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead design and branding initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Competencies/Skills

  • Expertise in brand management and visual identity.
  • Ability to turn technical content into clear, compelling messaging.
  • Proficiency with marketing automation and content management tools.
  • Knowledge of photography, video, and multimedia production.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience mentoring junior talent.
