Job description

Since its founding in 1937, Krispy Kreme's focus has remained the same - making fresh doughnuts using our founder's original recipe. The brand's iconic Hot Light lets consumers know when doughnuts are being made in the shop so they can stop in and enjoy them hot, right off the line.

Krispy Kreme's Director of Fresh Delivery Marketing is the marketing leader responsible for accelerating growth across Krispy Kreme's Fresh Delivery business. Serving as the General Manager of Marketing for the channel, this role develops and executes strategies that drive Fresh Delivery growth, commercialization of innovation, customer engagement, and omnichannel performance across key retail partners. While reporting into the Chief Brand & Product Officer, this role operates as a strategic business partner to the Chief Commercial Officer, ensuring Fresh Delivery growth priorities are fully integrated with Krispy Kreme's brand, innovation, and marketing capabilities. The Director leads a small, high-performing team while leveraging shared enterprise capabilities across Brand Marketing, Insights & Analytics, Creative, Media, eCommerce, Innovation, and Product Development. Success in this role requires a unique combination of strategic marketing leadership, commercial acumen, team development, and cross-functional influence.

A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Business & Growth Leadership

  • Lead the annual Fresh Delivery marketing strategy to drive revenue, distribution, velocity, household penetration, and profitability.
  • Serve as the primary marketing partner to the Chief Commercial Officer and sales leadership team, translating revenue, channel, and customer priorities into growth-driving marketing strategies.
  • Partner with the Chief Commercial Officer to identify growth opportunities and establish priorities across key retail channels and customers.
  • Translate consumer, shopper, category, retailer, and eCommerce insights into actionable growth plans.
  • Monitor business performance and recommend actions to improve results across channels, customers, and markets.

Commercialization & Innovation

  • Lead commercialization strategy and go-to-market execution for innovation, seasonal offerings, and key growth initiatives.
  • Partner with Innovation, Product Development, Operations, Procurement, Demand Planning and Sales teams to ensure successful retail launches.
  • Align Fresh Delivery innovation plans with customer, category, shopper, and channel opportunities to maximize retail success.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment to ensure strong execution from concept through launch with customers.

Customer Marketing & Omnichannel Activation

  • Lead customer marketing, shopper marketing, media, merchandising, and promotional strategies across key retail partners.
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to support Joint Business Planning, retailer-specific growth initiatives, and strategic customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with Media teams to develop and optimize retailer media strategies that drive awareness, trial, and conversion.
  • Partner with eCommerce teams to enhance digital performance, product discoverability, conversion, and omnichannel growth.
  • Ensure all activation plans support retailer objectives while strengthening the Krispy Kreme brand.

Team & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Fresh Delivery Marketing team.
  • Serve as the primary connector between Fresh Delivery and shared enterprise capabilities, including Brand Marketing, Insights & Analytics, Creative, Media, eCommerce, and Innovation.
  • Influence and align cross-functional partners around shared business objectives, often without direct authority.
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence across teams.
  • Build strong partnerships that maximize the impact of enterprise resources while maintaining focus on Fresh Delivery priorities.

Budget & Performance Management

  • Own the Fresh Delivery marketing budget and investment strategy.
  • Prioritize and optimize investments across customer marketing, commercialization, retail media, and eCommerce initiatives.
  • Establish clear performance metrics and monitor effectiveness across all programs.
  • Present business updates, growth opportunities, and performance results to senior leadership and executive teams.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, commercialization, customer marketing, shopper marketing, category management, eCommerce, or related commercial leadership roles.
  • Experience working with major retail customers such as Walmart, Target, grocery, convenience, club, or mass channels.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth through marketing and commercialization initiatives.
  • Experience leading teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Experience within CPG, food & beverage, retail, omnichannel commerce, or QSR environments preferred.
  • Experience with retail media, shopper marketing, eCommerce, and commercialization preferred.
  • Familiarity with category management and Joint Business Planning processes preferred.
