MUST BE OKAY WORKING HYBRID OUT OF ONE OF OUR OFFICES IN THE NEW ENGLAND REGION
General Description: Market new prospective client accounts to carrier partners. Support commercial lines sales associates. Provide marketing analytics, negotiate carrier coverages, and finalize marketing and client onboarding process.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with sales associates to understand prospect's commercial lines insurance needs.
• Develop submissions to carriers and obtain quotes. Respond to underwriters' inquiries.
• Negotiate terms with carriers on prospect's behalf.
• Finalize the marketing process and prepare appropriate proposal presentations.
• Bind coverage for clients and execute client onboarding process.
• Develop knowledge of insurance markets on behalf of USI.
• Develop relationships with carrier underwriters and representatives.
• Serve as technical expert on market trends, pricing practices, and other underwriting policies.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management systems and technology platforms.
• Keep current with industry, new product information, legislation, coverages, and technology.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• 10 years + experience in commercial property & casualty insurance agency. Comprehensive understanding of all property & casualty insurance coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts.
• College degree preferred.
• Must hold state Property & Casualty insurance license.
• Industry designations such as ARM, CIC, CPCU preferred.
• Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables.
• Working knowledge of internet-based programs. Knowledge of Sagitta/ImageRight preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office suite of products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
• Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate work.
• Ability to maintain relationships with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts.
