CivicScience is seeking a Market Research Analyst to support our proprietary consumer insights platform. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who understands research methodology and uses analytical judgment to write and launch poll questions, build dashboards, and turn data into client-ready reports. Our preferred candidate acts as a storyteller who applies CivicScience brand standards and clearly communicates findings across a variety of industries, e.g., advertising, publishers, banking, finance, QSR, retail, etc., adapting focus and style to suit different audiences and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to projects of varying scope and frequency in support of client and stakeholder needs
  • Build and maintain dashboards to track polling data, exporting key information to support internal (departmental) and external (client) reporting
  • Interpret research findings and write accurate, engaging, thought-provoking summaries
  • Create professional, client-ready reports and presentations
  • Provide timely updates on assigned projects, keeping teammates advised of progress and/or potential delays before they occur
  • Collaborate on process improvements for overall reporting and analysis, while troubleshooting and problem-solving independently when initial expectations, instructions, or data don't align
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in market research, data science, social science, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of survey research methodology, quantitative data analysis, statistics, and related terms, e.g., sample size, margin of error, statistical significance
  • Proficiency in both Google and Microsoft products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional attention to detail, written communication, and project management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Heightened intellectual curiosity, commitment to process improvement, and proven ability to collaborate with teammates operating in a fully distributed, asynchronous environment
  • Experience with R and RStudio, SQL, Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses (preferred)
  • Familiarity with programmatic advertising concepts, e.g., viewability, DSPs, brand lift (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
