The Business Development Manager identifies and creates positive opportunities for BCI Construction. This role works uniquely with corporate leadership in identifying opportunities for long term growth, and immediate opportunity. The goal of the Business Development Manager is to help stabilize business operations through a steady opportunity and connection to projects.

Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Wage:
  • $80k annually and up, plus a commission base bonus structure

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial construction sector.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, developers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Track and manage leads, prospects, and opportunities through a CRM system.
  • Lead client outreach efforts including meetings, presentations, and networking events.
  • Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to develop competitive proposals and presentations.
  • Participate in preconstruction planning and strategy discussions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming project opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and association meetings.
  • Support brand awareness and marketing initiatives, including content and campaign input.
  • Maintain a pipeline sufficient to meet or exceed annual revenue targets.

Qualifications:
Education, Training & other Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or project management within commercial construction
  • Strong understanding of construction delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CMAR, etc.)
  • Proven track record of generating leads and closing deals
  • Established network within the commercial construction industry preferred
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong communication skills, both formal and informal, to conduct yourself in a professional manner with the ability to understand your audience and venue.
