Market Investigator $50,000 - $65,000

R+L Carriers is seeking a Market Investigator. This individual's primary responsibility is to investigate and mitigate risks associated with freight and shipment discrepancies. The Market Investigator will work with Regional and Corporate Security resources to successfully conduct internal and external investigations, provide incident response and conduct security assessments. In this position you will utilize the latest in network security technology to resolve and prevent risk to the organization.
Job Responsibilities: Utilize software tools, data and proven skills to Investigate, resolve and prevent freight exceptions/losses Consistent and professional communication with various management levels and business departments Identify and communicate opportunities to improve on procedures and best practice Audits compliance of policy and procedures Assist with the development of processes and procedures to improve incident response times, analysis of incidents, and overall investigations Performs other duties as required
Skill Requirements: Experience in Security/Loss Prevention/investigation
Senior level investigation and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of management
The ability to self-start, prioritize and multi-task while working independently
Ability to identify critical issues with workable resolutions
Possess a comprehensive understanding of Windows, Microsoft outlook, Microsoft excel and Microsoft word
Occasional travel
Desired Skills:
3 years of Security/Loss Prevention/Investigation experience
Familiarity with VMS, Access control and Case Management systems
Required education:
High school or equivalent
