Job description

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive embedded software opportunities in the automotive and other markets. This role aligns the company’s software solutions with customer objectives, promotes long-term revenue growth, and strengthens the company’s position as a trusted partner in the software-defined vehicle ecosystem. 

1.      Business Strategy & Development

    • Drive and execute strategic business development plans targeting OEMs and Tier-1s.
    • Identify and create both new and add-on business opportunities with target companies.
    • Strategically build customer relationships from technical to executive management stakeholders.
  1. Customer Relationship Management
    • Act as the primary point of contact facilitating revenue growth targets and issue resolution.
    • Build trusted advisor relationships by positioning the company as an innovation partner and aligning our solutions with customer strategies.
    • Lead regular executive business reviews.
  2. Business Development Management
    • Understand customer goals, challenges, and requirements for medical equipment/device customers.
    • Identify and propose products and software to integrate into customer processes.
  3. Internal Collaboration
    • Work closely with product line management and customer sales teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
    • Ensure smooth execution of product deliveries and high customer satisfaction.
    • Provide market and customer feedback to influence product roadmaps.
  4. Market & Industry Insight
    • Conduct and support assessments in automotive ECU development and testing processes and other industries.
    • Perform technical evaluations in order to present our solutions to customers in a customized manner.
    • Provide intelligence on competitor offerings, customer strategies, and market shifts.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, and contribute to presentations.

Requirements

  • A history of developing and closing business opportunities
  • Ability to recognize, develop and propose embedded software solutions to existing or potential customers 
  • Experience with implementing networking standards such as AUTOSAR, CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market requirements.
  • 3+ years of experience with the full embedded software development life cycle
  • Ability to translate technical value to business value, especially at management levels with the customer.
  • Knowledge of OEM/Tier1 automotive ECU development and testing process.
  • Good understanding of the embedded software builds processes.
  • Advanced communication skills for diverse audiences at all levels within the customer organization.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites as necessary (typically ~ 30%). 
  • B.S. in EE/SE/CE/CS or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience.
