Description
Are you ready to lead a team of dedicated professionals while setting the stage for success? Wilson Engineers is a fast-growing engineering firm looking for a dynamic and motivated leader to join our team in Reno, NV.
As the Market Leader, heading up our Reno operations, you'll be the captain of your own ship. You can steer business operations to ensure everyone is upholding high standards for excellence. You'll work closely with our Nevada Business Unit Leader, the Chief Growth & Strategy Officer, and other colleagues on the management team, collaborating to accomplish goals in business operations, business development, and strategic planning.
This is a role that wears many hats. In addition to leading the Reno operations, you'll also be a Project Manager and a key client contact. Your mission will be to ensure projects go smoothly, stay on course and end successfully.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Handle day-to-day firm operations, including overseeing personnel in Reno.
  • Own P&L for the Wilson Engineers Reno operations.
  • Develop relationships with other managers, senior leadership and marketing to define market and client opportunities and strategies for business development.
  • Turn prospects into clients by building relationships and trust.
  • Maintain clients by establishing a working relationship with key decision makers and influencers based on Wilson Engineer's Values.
  • Lead projects using resources to accurately invoice clients within budget.
  • Prepare client contracts, statements of qualifications, fee proposals and contracts.
  • Effectively communicate ideas and technical concepts to coworkers and with clients on sensitive and complex matters.
  • Understand client needs and apply innovative thinking to solve problems and capture opportunities.
  • Ensure quality control for projects and clients.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of understanding of market, client, and technology trends and advancement.
  • Attend meetings and community and industry events.
  • Follow/research industry trends and communicate back to the team.
  • Prepare and present formal client presentations.
  • Maintain client confidentiality for all project work.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Eight to ten years or more of experience in staff supervision, client relations, and/or project management.
  • Have leadership experience in the consulting industry, with a demonstrated track record of profitability and success managing a business.
  • Preferably Licensed in your respective discipline in Nevada but not required.
  • PMP designation, CM experience, and/or water/wastewater experience is a plus.
