Job Summary:
UCP Staffing is looking for a talented, experienced recruiting professional to fill the role of a Talent Acquisition Specialist. The position plays a key role in shaping talent strategy, driving workforce planning, and delivering client success. Essential Job Functions:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, onboarding, and managing candidates through the recruiting life cycle. The position requires independent judgment, discretion, and decision-making in matters of significance related to recruiting strategy, workforce management, and market development. This position also focuses on other essential daily operations duties, including filling job orders, client site visits/support, skill marketing employees, and company culture building.

Responsibilities:
Manage and communicate job postings.
Schedule and conduct phone and face to face interviews.
Interview effectively to better understand the technical depths of each candidate you meet.
Skill market top candidates to generate new business leads and increase placements.
Exercise independent judgment in evaluating, hiring, and coaching temporary associates, including removal from assignments when necessary.
Partner with Sales Account Executives to consult on workforce solutions, client challenges, and market conditions.
Proactively build and manage talent pipelines across multiple verticals.
Leverage the (ATS) database and other tools to optimize candidate utilization.
Oversee end-to-end candidate lifecycle, ensuring visibility and control of candidate flow, assignment status, and candidate redeployment.
Develop strong relationships with candidates so their first preference is to work with UCP whether actively looking for a job, on assignment, or as a passive candidate.
Monitor end-of-assignment transitions.
Represent UCP Staffing in workforce and unemployment programs, building partnerships with local/state agencies (e.g., Department of Workforce Services, Job Fairs, Vocational Rehab, Trade schools, and Veterans Services).
Act as UCP's professional representative within the community, including attending networking events, hiring fairs, and workforce development initiatives.
Act as a strategic partner within the community, building brand visibility and market reputation.
Attend after-hour events as needed to support networking, recruiting, and brand awareness.
Be honest and respectful of everyone you interact with.
Be responsible for preparing weekly payroll timecards from the employee workforce.
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all services offered by UCP and awareness of the competition.
Help generate leads through referrals and usage of technologies such as Indeed, LinkedIn, and other platforms — leveraging these as sales tools, not solely for recruiting.
Meet/exceed weekly recruiting KPI expectations.
Organize weekly recruiting efforts utilizing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, including onboarding, job orders, activities, and opportunities.
Develop and implement strategic recruiting plans tailored to market-specific challenges and evolving workforce trends.
Analyze hiring trends and workforce data to adjust recruitment strategies and ensure optimal talent pipeline performance.
Serve as a subject matter expert on local labor markets, compensation trends, and competitor activity, providing guidance to internal stakeholders and leadership.
Recommend process improvements and contribute to policy development related to recruitment and staffing practices.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
4-year College Degree or equivalent business experience.
Being bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
1-2 years of recruiting experience or a strong desire to learn is preferred.
Staffing industry recruiting experience, including in the fields of construction and/or light industrial, is highly preferred.
Possess a high sense of urgency and self-confidence.
Work well within a quota-driven environment.
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Energetic, self-manager who can lead and achieve recruiting goals.
Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and make decisions involving matters of significance to the company and its clients.

Hours, Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Regular office hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
The role of the Talent Acquisition Specialist may vary depending on the needs of the business. Nights and weekend hours occur and can be consistently needed.
This position is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk and/or hear for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or more than 50 pounds.
