The Operations Assistant plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the logistics processes related to global supply chain operations. This position is responsible for supporting the operations team with coordinating shipments, billing out shipments, and facilitating communication and rates between various stakeholders for final submission to the customer. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and dedication to customer service, and is an organized and outside the box thinker.


  • Assist operations to coordinate international shipments and manage logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of goods while keeping all stakeholders informed, including gathering rate and billing files.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth transportation across borders.
  • Utilize logistics software and tools for data analysis and reporting on shipping performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the logistics framework to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support management initiatives by providing insights into shipping costs and logistics performance.

  • 0-2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related field preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of logistics principles and practices, particularly in an international context.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms and their integration into logistics processes.
  • Familiarity with NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze data using tools informed decision-making.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail for managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.
