Job Description

As a Software Engineer, you will analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain complex software systems supporting U.S. Navy operations. You will leverage modern software engineering practices and established development methodologies to create reliable, efficient, and scalable applications. This position requires strong analytical skills, experience with Microsoft development technologies, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver mission-focused solutions.

Position Responsibilities
  • Analyze and evaluate complex system requirements to develop effective software solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using established software engineering principles and best practices.
  • Develop software tools and subsystems that support software reuse, domain analysis, and implementation management.
  • Manage software development activities utilizing formal specifications, data flow diagrams, CASE tools, and other accepted design methodologies.
  • Review existing software through Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) activities and recommend enhancements to improve performance, functionality, and maintainability.
  • Estimate software development schedules and participate in project planning activities.
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint-based applications and solutions supporting mission requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases while ensuring data integrity and system performance.
  • Develop responsive user interfaces using HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Vue.js, XML, XSL, and XSLT technologies.
  • Troubleshoot software defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with software developers, system engineers, database administrators, and government stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Support software integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment activities.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements, software development standards, and organizational policies.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of professional software engineering experience, with at least three (3) years of specialized experience in IT systems analysis and programming.
  • Active DoD Security Clearance.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification required.
  • Minimum 8 years of practical experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2013 (Level II).
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2016 (Level II).
  • Minimum 2 years of practical experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2019 (Level II).
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 (Level II).
  • Minimum 2 years of practical experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2019 (Level II).
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 or higher (Level II).
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience with CSS3 (Level II).
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience with JavaScript (Level II).
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience with jQuery (Level II).
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience with Vue.js (Level II).
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience with XML (Level II).
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience with HTML (Level II).
