Job description

Technician Job Description
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, test, perform service and maintenance on marine electrical systems.
  • New installation and repair of davits, swim platforms, thrusters, underwater lights, and more on marine vessels.
  • Install, test, adjust, and troubleshoot motors, components, and safety switches (12V/24V DC, 115/220AC).
  • Work independently, perform tasks with little supervision, and work well with other team members.
·         Ability to work in tight spaces on vessels.
  • Valid driver’s license and proper documents to legally work in the US.
  • Must be highly organized with work performance and time management skills.
  • Maintain detailed daily worksheet with service performed, parts used, and recommendations for follow-up service or repairs.
  • Work efficiently while maintaining a safe environment.
  • Must be willing to travel throughout the South Florida area including from West Palm Beach to the Florida Keys and the east coast to west coast of South Florida.
  • Must have necessary tools to perform jobs.
  • Must have a professional demeanor and respond to clients in a professional and courteous manner.
·         Responsible for upkeep of vehicles (i.e., washing exterior, removing debris from interior, cleaning oil messes, replacing ECRM provided equipment/supplies)

·         Ensure that worksheets are signed and turned in on time

·         Responsible for understanding the scope of assigned jobs, including having ALL man power and/or tools needed for assigned job(s) (to prevent loss of time)

·         Responsible for ECRM vehicular inventory

·         Responsible for ECRM service tools checked out of tool room

·         Responsible for making sure tools are returned and are in working condition
