In keeping with the mission and values of Big Thunder Marine, and the pledge to maintain our presence as the premier watercraft dealer at the Lake of the Ozarks, the Accounting Admin supports this initiative by ensuring accuracy and timeliness of our basic accounting functions. The Accounting Admin will ensure the continued growth and success of our company by focusing on clear communication and efficiency of the Accounting Department. At all times the Accounting Admin works to enhance our customer service experience and create lasting relationships with our clients.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Communicate with customers to request payment and arrange payment plans

• Collect payments from customers and accurately record into accounting system

• Create monthly customer statements, past due letters and certified pre collection letters

• Accounts Payable data entry, processing checks, balancing vendor statements

• Maintain databases, spreadsheets and updating information as needed

• Communicate with vendors as needed

• Performing basic office administrative tasks including filing, printing, reporting, data entry,

emailing and answering phone calls

• Special accounting/office administrative projects to be determined

• Answering telephone

• Scanning & filing documents

• Running errands to other local company owned facilities using personal vehicle


REQUIREMENTS

Effective communication skills, including active listening, speaking and writing

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Professional business communication skills, including emailing, financial reporting and other

department documentation

Great customer service and interpersonal skills

Collaboration and teamwork skills.

Multitasking, prioritization and deadline management

Strong organizational and time management skills

Basic knowledge of accounting and financial processes

Keen attention to detail

Knowledge of computers, accounting software, spreadsheet software

Proficient with office equipment (Computer keyboard, 10 key adding machine, office copiers)

MUST BE Excel proficient: ability to build, edit & manage Excel & Google spreadsheets,

including knowledge of formulas, tables, etc.

MUST BE Word and internet browser proficient

Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods

Reliable transportation

2 years previous accounting experience


WORK ENVIRONMENT

Typical office environment with moderate noise level when working indoors. Outdoor and marine environment may contain uneven and slippery surfaces. Noise level may increase substantially upon interaction with watercraft.
