What does a Marine Insurance Manager do?

A Marine Insurance Manager oversees the provision and administration of insurance policies that cover ships, cargo, and related maritime risks. Their responsibilities include assessing insurance needs for shipping operations, negotiating policy terms, handling claims, and ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations. Marine Insurance Managers often encounter challenges such as evaluating the credibility of shipping companies, understanding the complexities of routes and cargo types, and staying updated with international maritime regulations.
