Marine Canvas & Upholstery Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Marine Canvas Upholstery Technician, you will be responsible for creating and repairing canvas and upholstery products for boats and yachts. Your work will be crucial in ensuring the safety and comfort of our clients while they enjoy their time on the water. You will work closely with our team of professionals to ensure that all products meet our high standards of quality and craftsmanship.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties (Most Important to Least Important)

Create and repair canvas and upholstery products for boats and yachts.

Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences. Ensure client has exceptional experience.

Ensure that all products meet high standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Collaborate with other team members to understand project requirements and timelines.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area. Follow all safety protocols while working and using equipment.

Any other duties as assigned.

SKILLS

  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience using materials such as Sunbrella and vinyl.
  • Experience with computer-aided designs software (CAD).
  • Experience with boat and yacht electrical and plumbing systems.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in marine canvas and upholstery.
  • Certification in marine canvas and upholstery preferred.
