Job description

Come work in the fast paced cannabis industry! We are hiring a Part Time Budtender for High Plainz Strains of Garden City!

General Info:

Heavy preference will be given to candidates who already have their badge to work in the cannabis industry in Colorado. If you don't already have that, you can apply with the State of Colorado.

The ideal candidate for this role will have open availability for the hours this store is open - Sunday - Saturday 7:50 am to 12:30 am. This person will have a positive friendly attitude and a passion for and knowledge of cannabis, and love interacting with our customers!

This is a part time position, which is 25 hours or less per week. You would accrue sick time through hours worked, and have access to Colorado Secure Savings.

Pay - $15.16/hour, plus tips (which are recorded and taxed).
Our culture is centered around fun and camaraderie, especially since we're part of the cannabis industry! We strive to make every workday enjoyable while balancing the needs of the business and adhering to state regulations. Providing exceptional customer service is our top priority, so the ideal candidate will have previous experience in a customer service role and genuinely enjoy it. While knowledge of cannabis products is a plus, it's not required. We have a wealth of expertise in-house and are happy to help you learn about the wide range of cannabis products we offer.

Basic Functions of the Job:

  • Engage with customers, answering questions and making suggestions on different products to purchase.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to all our customers.
  • Stock products on the sales floor.
  • Handle cash with accuracy and integrity.
  • Follow all the rules and regulations set up by the organization and the Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED).

Ideal Skills and Experience:

  • To begin working in any dispensary in Colorado, you must have a valid badge from the State of Colorado to work in the cannabis industry. This badge is obtained at the cost of the candidate/employee, and the company does not reimburse for this.
  • Because this is a customer facing role, reliability is super important!
  • Customer Service experience, ideally in a retail environment or as a server/bartender/host.
  • Friendly, positive attitude and AMAZING communication skills.
  • Passion for the cannabis industry/product - even if you do not partake, you should be excited about what it can do for folks!
  • General knowledge about cannabis products is a big plus!
  • Willingness to learn the rules of this industry and uphold them every single day.
