***100% ON SITE IN CORONA, CA***
Job Summary
VSolvit has an immediate opening for a General Clerk III to support our Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Corona Division customer in Norco, California. These individuals will support the variety of NSWC Corona's Corporate business operations organizations (Corporate Business Office, Security Office, and Corporate Operations Department) and their administrative requirements to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency This position works 100% onsite.
As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these include, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), staying focused on the assigned tasks, and completing other tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities
  • Provide daily administrative/clerical support to the human resource office with primary support to the staffing and classification branch
  • Provide front desk support customer support, directing customers to applicable subject matter expert, answering phone and providing general response to customer inquiries.
  • Assist the staffing and classification specialists with the new hire on-boarding tasks weekly which average about 10 new hires a pay period with an appropriate FY total of 200 new hires.
  • Reviews pre-employment documents, verifies citizenship; downloads and distributes documents, coordinates base access and CAC appointments, coordinates swear-in ceremony and assists in conducting onboard brief every two weeks, and completes e-Verify and closes out record in Onboarding Module, ensuring constant communication with new hires, and communicating/collaborating via phone and email with AO/supervisors/training department prior to new hire arrival.
  • Updates supervisory hierarchy biweekly and as needed. Pulls report from HRLink and sends to Admin Officers biweekly to validate information.
  • Updates Required Onboard Dates (ROD) metrics on a biweekly basis ensuring all dates are input before the end of the month
  • Downloads HR's monthly reports from HRLink for internal and customer use. Pull sad hoc HR Link reports when needed.
  • Assist in preparing a variety of correspondence and other documents related to the various Human Resource functions when required.
  • Provide assistance with the inventory, destruction, and document placement of HR records regardless of format.
  • Provide assistance with the annual health benefits fair
  • Provide surveillance of uncleared visitors in secured spaces
  • Required account access to various HR systems (DCPDS, USA Staffing, HRLink, TWMS) and knowledge in Microsoft applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Basic Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • High School Diploma
  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance required and/or the ability to reinstate one within the past 24 months
  • Minimum of 1-year clerical support experience within a professional office environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with DoD entities such as Navy, Army, Marine Corps, or Air Force
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Access.
  • A team player and possess a strong ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills with experience interacting and supporting government clients
