Job description

Job Title: Data Analyst, Mapping
Location:  SFO or NYC Office.
Duration: 6 Months with possible extension
Onsite/Remote/Hybrid: 3 days onsite (onsite Mon, Wed, Thurs)
Pay Range: $42/hr -$48/hr on W2 (DOE)
Role Overview
This is a contract role, and we''re looking for experienced professionals ready to hit the ground running. This role sits at the intersection of product and data analytics. You''ll support multiple critical product initiatives across Mapping including map data collection, airports navigation experience, Maps global expansion, AV mapping integration, and more.
You will leverage data and rigorous, analytical thinking to shape our products and make business decisions. This will involve performing rigorous product deep dives, identifying opportunities for product enhancements, and measuring the impact of new features.
Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibility:

  • Monitor and improve map data coverage and quality.
  • Generate metrics and dashboard reports, conduct root-cause analyses, track KPIs against targets, and investigate emerging data quality issues before they reach downstream products.
Secondary Responsibility:
  • Support product analytics across Mapping Driver, Rider, and Platform experiences by performing analyses and creating dashboards to uncover product insights, drive feature prioritization, and proactively monitor feature health. Cross-functional collaboration.
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and UX Research to translate analytical findings into production changes, pairing quantitative insight with qualitative research. Process / operations.
  • Lead recurring metrics deep-dive reviews, contribute to weekly program status updates, support quarterly KPI planning, ad-hoc investigations, and manage the lifecycle of analytical models. Analysis & reporting.
  • Own analyses across the map data collection lifecycle, coverage and traversal, device and asset management, program cost and efficiency, and data quality and alert signals.
 
Requirements Education:
  • Bachelor''s degree in engineering, science, analytics, GIS, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to use data visualization tools to provide actionable insights and reusable frameworks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in SQL Familiarity with Mode, Hex, and/or other AI data tools is a strong plus.
