Job Title: Driver Skilled Nursing
Location: New Smyrna Beach, Florida

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Driver Skilled Nursing to join our team at Beachside Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. As a Driver Skilled Nursing, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients from one location to another, ensuring their needs are met while maintaining a high level of professionalism and courtesy. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip

  • Pick up patients from the place and at the time as requested by facility

  • Assist patients with loading and unloading their belongings

  • Assist patients into doctors offices, homes, hospitals, clinics, and facilities

  • Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions

  • Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed

  • Answer patient questions about the area and local places of interest

  • Ensure the seats are clean and comfortable for all riders

  • Report any issues for vehicle service to Administrator

  • Arrange vehicle wash and detailing services to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the vehicle

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a driver

  • A valid driver's license

  • Must be a CNA

  • A clean driving record

  • Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)

  • Familiarity with GPS devices

  • Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods

  • Ability to lift heavy items and wheelchairs

  • Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts

  • A polite and professional disposition

  • Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)

  • A high school diploma
