Job description

We are looking for a Technical Writer to support documentation excellence across manufacturing, engineering, laboratory, and operations teams in Colorado. This contract opportunity with the potential for a long-term role is ideal for someone who can turn complex technical information into clear, controlled, and practical documentation that supports compliance and day-to-day execution. The person in this role will help strengthen document governance, improve knowledge-sharing practices, and create materials that are accurate, consistent, and easy for teams to use.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Create and update standard operating procedures, work instructions, policies, technical summaries, and other process-related documents for cross-functional teams.
โ€ข Build and refine documentation frameworks by developing templates, writing standards, formatting guidance, and governance practices that support consistency.
โ€ข Work closely with subject matter experts to capture specialized information and convert it into straightforward, user-friendly content.
โ€ข Oversee controlled document activities, including version tracking, change handling, routing for approvals, and release coordination.
โ€ข Review documentation for clarity, accuracy, and usability while driving improvements that raise overall content quality.
โ€ข Support quality and operational documentation needs within document management and controlled content environments.
โ€ข Organize stakeholder feedback cycles to ensure documents are reviewed, finalized, and issued in a timely manner.
โ€ข Develop training resources, instructional content, and user-facing guides that help employees understand processes and requirements.

โ€ข Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly.
โ€ข Experience working with document management systems and structured processes for controlled documentation.
โ€ข Familiarity with SOP development, departmental procedures, and compiling technical documents from multiple sources.
โ€ข Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
