Position: Manufacturing Project Engineer
Work Location: Lafayette, IN

Job Description:
  • Lead reliability improvements for CNC machining centers to enhance equipment availability, OEE, and process capability.
  • Utilize structured reliability methods (TPM, RCCA, PFMEA, predictive maintenance) to eliminate chronic losses and stabilize throughput.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Production to embed a reliability-focused culture and standard work
  • Black Belt certification with a focus on machining centers maintenance, reliability data analytics (Llumin data) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.
  • Experience in manufacturing operations, RCCA on maintenance repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and reliability standards.
  • Improve machine availability & OEE through loss analysis & corrective actions.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, diagnose issues, and develop actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage critical spares and obsolescence strategy.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement permanent fixes.
  • 0-25%, Travel, within US if need to visit machine tool supplier
 
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Deploy TPM and operator care on constraint machining centers.
  • Influence reliability in new equipment design and commissioning.
  • Implement predictive maintenance (vibration, lubrication, thermal monitoring) initiative.
  • Coach operators and technicians on defect tagging and basic care.
