Job description

E-Logic is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee government infrastructure cabling and communications projects supporting the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The Project Manager will lead daily operations, coordinate field teams, manage schedules, ensure compliance with contractual requirements, and serve as the primary interface between E-Logic and the government agency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership experience managing structured cabling, fiber optic, low-voltage communications, and emergency response service projects in commercial or industrial environments.


Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of fiber optic and low-voltage cabling projects
  • Coordinate onsite installation, maintenance, inventory, and emergency response activities
  • Lead electricians, cabling technicians, architects, and documentation teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and government requirements
  • Monitor project schedules, response-time SLAs, and deliverables
  • Manage subcontractors, materials, testing documentation, and certifications
  • Oversee quality assurance for copper and fiber testing/certification standards
  • Coordinate emergency response activities and escalation management
  • Produce project reports, status updates, and technical documentation
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards including BICSI and manufacturer specifications

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience managing structured cabling or telecommunications infrastructure projects
  • Experience supporting government, transportation, commercial, or industrial facilities
  • Strong understanding of fiber optic and copper infrastructure
  • Experience managing onsite technical teams and vendors
  • Knowledge of OTDR testing, fusion splicing, Wi-Fi surveying, and cable certification
  • Familiarity with manufacturers including EXFO, Fluke, AFL/Fujikura, Sumitomo, or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Required Certifications

  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification (required for supervisors/leads)
  • BICSI Certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license
