Position Purpose: Production Supervisor provides management, coordination, and continuous improvement of all aspects of the manufacturing process across several truss production areas, candidates must by bilingual.

Primary Role Expectations:

  • Advocate of the company mission, purpose, and core values in all activities and duties.
  • Proactively solve problems and communicate with leadership.
  • Follows and enforces the following of operational procedures and policies outlined in the employee handbook
  • Facilitates shift meetings and safety talks
  • Evaluates work environment to mitigate safety risks
  • Oversees all areas of the production to ensure and maintain high standards of quality, safety and service
  • Regularly inspect daily opening and closing procedures, project completion, and plant and yard appearance
  • Identifies and implements training and development programs for all production employees
  • Promotes accountability by monitoring employee performance and counsel's employees on improvement opportunities to ensure standards are met
  • Know and develop relationships with individual employees
  • Ensures that production and delivery schedules are met and are optimizing lead times
  • Monitors cost of production and ensures that those costs are maintained
  • Ensures inventory is properly accounted for and accurate
  • Responsible for product integrity and the coordinating of troubleshooting in the field as needed
  • Other duties as assigned



Requirements

  • 2+ years of applicable, industry, leadership and business development experience
  • Strong hands-on operational business acumen, effective people management skills, and the ability to consider multiple options before making decisions.
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards, building codes, equipment, methods, and contracts
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with diverse individuals from executives to floor employees
  • Knowledge in lean manufacturing
  • Strong language, mathematical, and reasoning skills
  • Proficient with Office Productivity Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to learn and use ERP systems
  • Valid driver's license to operate personal and company vehicle
  • Job functions are performed on the production floor with 25-40% of work to be completed on a computer.
  • Perform the position's physical functions with extensive mobility and ease including walking, sitting, standing, bending, talking, hearing, seeing, and using hands to operate tools necessary for the job
