Your Opportunity:

Taylor Corporation is looking for a Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations and develop a strong production leadership team. This role requires someone who can balance hands-on floor leadership with the metrics, systems and business side of the operation. The right person will be comfortable leading through change, developing supervisors and improving overall production performance.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead day-to-day production operations with a strong presence on the manufacturing floor.
  • Develop and coach Production Supervisors, building leadership capability and accountability across the team.
  • Monitor production performance, KPIs and operational metrics and use the data to identify issues and drive improvement.
  • Understand and manage the full production flow from materials through manufacturing, shipping and distribution.
  • Identify and address production, equipment and workflow issues that impact safety, quality, productivity or delivery.
  • Lead operational and cultural change while building trust and credibility with long-tenured employees.
  • Manage production budgets and maintain appropriate control of labor and operating costs.
  • Utilize ERP systems to support production planning, inventory, shipping and overall plant operations.
  • Partner with other departments and senior leadership to support business priorities and production goals.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and implement changes that strengthen processes, team performance and overall results.
You Must Have:
  • Strong production or manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience leading and developing supervisors and production teams.
  • Strong understanding of production flow, equipment and manufacturing operations.
  • Experience working with production metrics and KPIs and the ability to speak to measurable results.
  • Experience managing budgets and controlling operating costs.
  • Experience using a full ERP system within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to balance hands-on floor leadership with the administrative, systems and business requirements of a management role.
We Would Also Prefer:
  • Approximately 3-4 years of Production Manager experience, or strong Production Supervisor experience with demonstrated readiness to move into a manager role.
  • Experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading an operation or team through significant operational or cultural change.
  • A track record of building teams, developing leaders and improving production performance.
