The Die Cast Operator Responsibilities:
  • Ability to use required personal protective safety equipment and follow safety rules.
  • Ability to read and understand operating procedures relative to job being performed.
  • Ability to gain knowledge of the trimming operation and recognize visual casting/trim defects.
  • Operate machinery (trim press, hoists, leak tester, and relieve die cast operators for brief periods of time).
  • Packing castings in dunnage or pallets per casting work instructions.
  • Complete appropriate production paperwork such as: attach tickets, tags, etc. to dunnage or pallets.
  • Handwork (filing, grinding, sanding) per casting work instructions.
  • Communicate any casting discrepancies with the casting to Supervisor or Lead.
  • Participate in 5S initiatives for WDC facility with tracking/sustainability
  • Overtime as required.
  • Other duties as required by supervisor or lead.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to maintain normal flow of production.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures, work instructions and safety rules.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Must be able to pass powered lift equipment testing.
