Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

The Production Manager drives the metrics of safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, total associate engagement, and 6S for Manufacturing. The Production Manager is responsible to plan and executing schedules to support customer requirements, leading the implementation and execution of lean work cells to ensure a safe work environment, maximizing profitable growth, drive quality improvements, provide premier customer service, develop a technically qualified work force, and reduce operating costs, inventories, and lead times through continuous improvements. The Production Manager will oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly expectations.

The Production Manager will manage production in a LEAN manufacturing operation, will have direct management of production floor employees, will be called upon to make sure that the team has the resources, systems, product expertise and processes in place to provide a world class customer experience - and also have the initiative & foresight to drive higher level, long-term improvements toward complete customer loyalty.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise manufacturing activities, leading a team of production and shipping supervisors.
  • Apply lean tools and methods within a Value Stream environment to reduce process variation, create standardization, improve quality, and eliminate waste.
  • Manage the plant operational departments, including production, machining, assembly and shipping aligning priorities, allocating resources to accomplish with the operational KPIs such as standard hours (productivity), utilization, on time delivery, minimum past due aligned with P&L budget.
  • Use internal and external VOC to analyze/improve processes and apply root cause problem solving methods to all functions.
  • Ensure proper product delivery including escalation and resolution of high exposure items.
  • Ensure supervisors: Train and develop personnel in skills, process and procedures required to effectively perform job.
  • Develop and deploy key performance objectives to employees.
  • Apply Standard Work and create SOP 's for Operations related processes.
  • Improve and Maintain SQDC objectives with focus on Customer Satisfaction
  • Seeking improvement opportunities and work to achieve results and process improvements.
  • Drive lean initiatives throughout the process.
  • Lead the implementation and execution of lean work cells.
  • Review methods and tooling for precision machined parts and recommend improvements, implementing improvements with the assistance of the Manufacturing Engineering team.
  • Manage schedules and approvals for Manufacturing associates.
  • Create a climate where employees are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives.
  • Establish clear responsibilities and processes for monitoring work and measuring results.
  • Drive safety awareness and improvements

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors' Degree required, preferably in Business Management, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related.
  • Minimum of 5 years Lead and/or Supervisor experience including work direction and performance management.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications with expert level Excel skills.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex financial information.
  • Ability to maintain professional skepticism - with capability to validate accuracy of reporting and draw general conclusions on the data.
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic team environment - with requests from inside and outside of immediate work team - and some requests directly from senior leadership.
  • Ability to influence cross functionally and across multiple locations.

  • Results oriented with a bias for action, including ability to meet business critical deadlines.

  • Previous experience with Oracle and OneStream strongly preferred.

Work environment

Primarily in the foundry environment and secondarily performing office work. Includes regular exposure to noise levels at or above 85 decibels, dust particles, light radiation, paint or oil products, and weather changes. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required to be worn during shift.

Physical requirements

Potential physical demands include, but are not limited to:frequent walking and standing, occasional twisting, stooping, carrying, handling, pushing, and pulling; climbing, kneeling, and lifting to 35 lbs. Potential sensory demands include but are not limited to: hearing and seeing.
