Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Assistant to support manufacturing operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will assist in data entry, production scheduling, and general production tasks to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality output.

Duties

  • Assist in preparing, updating, and tracking master production schedules (annual, monthly, and weekly) based on customer demand, inventory levels, and material availability.
  • Support production readiness by verifying material, packaging, and capacity alignment prior to production runs.
  • Maintain accurate material master data, product specifications, routing information, and version control within the ERP system (e.g., SAP).
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for multiple batch sizes, ensuring consistency between ERP systems and controlled Excel files.
  • Monitor usage of production consumables and packaging materials, identify abnormal variances, and support corrective actions.
  • Act as a coordination point between production, warehouse, and QA to ensure timely material flow and production execution.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives through data collection, tracking, and basic analysis.
  • Assist with documentation accuracy to support cGMP compliance, internal audits, and operational reviews.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at improving efficiency, accuracy, and planning reliability.

Qualifications

Education & Work Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, manufacturing, or a related field preferred

Working & Training Experience

  • 2 years of experience in manufacturing operations, production planning, or supply chain preferred
  • Experience in dietary supplements, pharmaceutical, food, or regulated manufacturing is a strong plus

Skills & Personality:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Basic understanding of production planning and material flow
  • Bilingual in English & Chinese a plus
