About the Opportunity
The Manufacturing Production Assistant assists with a variety of processes within the Wet Process/Plating department. Daily responsibilities may include processing PCB layers through Copper Plating, Electroless/Flash Plating, Strip Resist, and Plating Etch, while ensuring that all jobs are processed in accordance with Operator or Team leader direction, Traveler information, process engineering and Standard Operating Procedures.
No plating experience required. We provide on-the-job training. This is a great opportunity to start a career in printed circuit board manufacturing.
Please Note: The available work schedule consists of second-shift hours (4:00pm - 12:30am); however, training will take place during the first shift (7:30am - 4:00pm).
What You'll Do:
  • Follows the direction of the Operator and Team leader and the Traveler to ensure compliance with specifications; verifies that prior process was properly completed and that quantities match
  • Assists with set-up of Etch Machine based on copper weight information; verifies that conveyer speed and etchant temperature are within operating parameters
  • Operates the Etching Machine (ammonia, solder strip), including set up, start/stop and basic maintenance
  • Prepares panels for processing by applying copper or plating tapes and plugging lamination holes as needed
  • Assists with loading and unloading panels from the appropriate tanks in accordance with traveler instructions
  • Preps and cleans racks for use in process
  • Assists with Baking layers using vacuum oven and logs in and out time
  • Assists with loading and unloading panels from the conveyorized chemical cleaner in accordance with traveler instructions
  • Visually inspects panels after processing for non-conformances
  • Cleans and dries panels
  • Assists with moving finished parts to the next scheduled process
  • Performs all other job tasks as needed
