Job description

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Manufacturing Engineer role in Biddeford, ME. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. With a focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining excellence at every stage of their manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
· Analyze production workflows and implement process improvements to reduce waste and increase productivity.
· Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement effective solutions.
· Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
· Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen events.
· Evaluate and recommend new equipment, tooling, and technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
· Monitor production metrics and conduct root cause analysis to drive corrective and preventive actions.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies throughout the manufacturing process.
· Assist with new product introductions by developing manufacturing methods, tooling, and process validation.
· Provide technical support and training to production teams to ensure consistent and efficient operations.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
· 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment preferred.
