About the job

Pronto is seeking an experienced and hands-on Manufacturing Plant Manager to lead daily operations at our dietary supplement manufacturing facility in Manassas, VA. In this role, you will oversee production planning, manufacturing workflows, and cross-functional operations to ensure efficient execution, product quality, and regulatory compliance.

You will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, optimizing manufacturing processes, monitoring operational performance, and ensuring resources are aligned to meet business goals. Additionally, you will lead and develop teams across manufacturing, maintenance, and sanitation while driving continuous improvement initiatives as Pronto continues its exciting growth.

What You'll Do

Oversee all manufacturing operations and ensure compliance with approved operating procedures and cGMP standards.

Develop and manage production schedules, manufacturing workflows, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.

Monitor workflow, production performance, and manufacturing KPIs, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and other methodologies.

Coordinate day-to-day activities across manufacturing, maintenance, facilities, and quality teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Ensure batch production records are completed accurately and maintained in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Oversee equipment purchases, maintenance programs, and facility layout to support operational goals.

Partner with the Quality team to investigate deviations, non-conformances, and other manufacturing-related issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.

Lead and develop teams across manufacturing, maintenance, and sanitation departments, including staffing, training, performance management, and employee development.

Promote a culture of safety and ensure all environmental, health, and operational procedures are followed.

Communicate production objectives, operational goals, and company priorities to direct reports and leadership.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

3–5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Experience overseeing production operations and managing day-to-day manufacturing activities.

Knowledge of manufacturing regulations, policies, practices, and procedures.

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience managing production schedules, workflows, and manufacturing performance metrics.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Clear and effective communication skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Must be able to work on-site in Manassas, VA.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.

Experience in dietary supplement, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries.

Familiarity with cGMP, FDA regulations, and quality management systems.

Experience overseeing maintenance, facilities, or sanitation functions.
