Job Description

The Warehouse Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of warehouse activities, including process optimization, safety, workforce management, and financial oversight. This role focuses on maintaining operational excellence at a local level while aligning with corporate objectives. The Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to achieve customer demands, improve KPIs, and foster a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:

 

Leadership

  • Drive strategic initiatives aligned with site-specific goals and corporate objectives.
  • Cultivate a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead initiatives to integrate digital transformation, including adopting warehouse management systems.

Operational Excellence

  • Optimize workflows to ensure timely order fulfillment and shipment accuracy.
  • Oversee inventory management and implement process improvements to reduce costs.
  • Track and improve key safety, productivity, and quality performance metrics.

Financial Oversight

  • Manage site P&L within the set budget; forecast monthly costs accurately.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining operational standards.

Workforce Management

  • Oversee the scheduling, training, and performance of warehouse staff.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that prioritizes employee development.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as the main point of contact for the Regional Logistics Director, corporate teams, and customers.
  • Ensure alignment between site operations and larger organizational strategies.

Change Management

  • Lead change management initiatives, including communication and training to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technology.
  • Drive cultural shift to embrace innovation and cross functional collaboration.

Risk & Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Proactively address risks and implement preventative measures.

Key Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Operations, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of warehouse or distribution management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead small teams effectively and optimize operational performance.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes, safety, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems and data-driven decision-making.
