Position Overview

We are seeking aManufacturing IT Developer IIIto support and enhance manufacturing systems and applications within a production environment.


This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and optimizing IT solutions that support manufacturing operations, including automation systems, PLC data integration, shop floor applications, and production monitoring tools. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in .NET development along with exposure to manufacturing systems and industrial technologies.


Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Systems Development

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing IT applications supporting production operations.


  • Work with .NET-based systems to build, enhance, and support manufacturing software solutions.


  • Integrate and manage data from PLC systems and other shop floor automation technologies.



Systems Integration & Support

  • Support manufacturing execution systems (MES) and related applications.


  • Work with industrial software platforms such as Wonderware or similar systems.


  • Interface with manufacturing equipment, scanners, and data collection devices (e.g., Zebra scanners).



Data & Automation

  • Analyze and manage PLC-generated data to support production monitoring and reporting.


  • Develop solutions to improve data flow between shop floor systems and enterprise applications.


  • Support automation initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency and system reliability.



Troubleshooting & Maintenance

  • Provide technical support for manufacturing IT systems and resolve production-related software issues.


  • Troubleshoot system integration problems across manufacturing platforms.


  • Ensure system uptime and reliability in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.



Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams.


  • Translate business and production requirements into technical solutions.


  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations.



Required Qualifications
Education

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.



Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in IT development or software engineering.


  • Strong background in manufacturing environments.


  • Experience working with PLC data and industrial automation systems.


  • Hands-on experience with .NET development.



Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in .NET (C# preferred).


  • Experience with manufacturing software systems (e.g., Wonderware or similar platforms).


  • Knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation data.


  • Experience working with barcode scanners or industrial devices (e.g., Zebra systems).
