Job Objective:

The position is responsible for managing the daily manufacturing operations ensuring safety, productivity, efficiency, material utilization, order delivery, and quality standards are met while managing staff and production schedules. This includes leading, coordinating and aligning operational resources around employee safety, product quality, order delivery, cycle time, operational productivity and efficiency, and material utilization to achieve company goals and objectives.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Promote and drive implementation and adherence to all safety protocols and regulations across the site, taking proactive actions to reduce exposure and promote a safety culture among all employees.

  • Ensuresmanufacturingcapabilities and performance meet or exceed all industry and customer requirements for cost, volume, quality,andresponsiveness.

  • Manages workforce to support changing demands. Develops, implements, and optimizes cross-training and labor shortage contingency plans within and across the value streams.

  • Develop quantitative and strategic action plans and metrics that support the overall improvement of safety, quality, delivery and service levels.

  • Manages staff with emphasis on accountability and effectiveness; Sets performance objective goals for direct reports that are consistent with and in support of Plant objectives.

  • Identifiestrainingneeds, initiates development of staff, and recommends effective personnel actions; mentors and leads employees with a hands-on approach.

  • Leads change management and improvement initiatives in a manner that ensures employee engagement and understanding.

  • Driveslean manufacturing and promote an environment of continuous improvement.

  • Identifiesandimplementsinitiativesto reduce COGSandenhancebusinessprofitability.

  • Utilizes data and established metrics to decisively identify opportunities to improve processes.

  • Aligns manufacturing work systems and management practices with established best practicesandCompanyglobalmanufacturing standards.

  • Provides operational support to the plant's leadership teams, and operational support resource teams.

  • Ensure policies and procedures are well understood and adhered to by all employees.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested

Job Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Business, Engineering, or technical discipline

  • Minimum 7 years'management/supervisoryexperience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in a textiles manufacturing environment will be highly valued.

  • In-depth knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies,withdemonstratedexperiencein application to drive operational excellence.Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt a plus.

  • In-depth knowledge of Strategy Deployment methodology.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization.

  • Proven ability to motivate, train and develop skill sets for manufacturing supervision, manufacturing technical resources, and manufacturing production staff.

  • Strong problem-solving skills that drive root cause identification and corrective actions.

  • Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Ability to make decisions in a timely manner with the ability to effectively influence decision-making.

  • Ability to work with great sense of urgency in a fast-paced organization with optimism.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Oracle (ERP), SPC Programs, etc.
