The Maintenance & Tooling Manager Leads maintenance operations across multiple facilities to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective performance of critical equipment. Drive up time of equipment, process standardization, and continuous improvement while managing distributed teams. Provides leadership and strategic oversight to the Tooling Department, including tooling engineers and technicians responsible for fixture design, build, maintenance, and continuous improvement, ensuring tooling resources support production and new product launches.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop maintenance teams across multiple plants
  • Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs
  • Ensure equipment reliability, maximize uptime, and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Standardize maintenance processes and CMMS usage across sites
  • Manage budgets, spare parts, and vendor/contractor performance
  • Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure all contractor policies are followed, and documentation is up to date
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and safety standards (LOTO, hot work, confined space)

Tooling Leadership

  • Provide leadership, direction, and performance management for the Tooling Department, including tooling engineers, technicians, and future support roles.
  • Attend new product meetings to coordinate tooling build schedules and ensure tooling readiness for on-time product launches.
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations to ensure tooling solutions align with manufacturing objectives.
  • Oversee the scheduling of annual fixture reviews, maintenance and repair

Business Support

  • Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and installations
  • Report on KPIs and align maintenance with production goals

Qualifications

  • 3+ years industrial maintenance experience
  • 3+ years leadership experience (multi-site preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of industrial systems and automation with a working knowledge of tooling and fixture operations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional multi-site technical teams in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with CMMS and predictive maintenance tools
  • Ability to travel between sites
