Job description

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Directs the maintenance programs and processes of the assigned plant to ensure timely and effective production.
Coordinates with other management staff to ensure efficiency in preventative maintenance and new equipment installation.
Oversees facilities design and inspection, equipment repair and installation.
Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets
Oversees, manages and directs all maintenance procedures and operations
Ensures all machinery is up to working standards
Assesses current maintenance work processes, to optimize efficiency
Uses data analysis to help prepare for and prevent future problems
Creates and implements measures to minimize breakdowns and repairs (performing quality checks of all machinery, tools, equipment etc.)
Troubleshoots problem areas and creates a clear plan of action for fixing necessary parts
Oversees repairs and trains new employees in maintenance work processes and procedures
Creates a work environment with safety as a high priority
Performs evaluations of employees to ensure quality of work
Records and tracks daily progress/error reports
Maintains vendor relationships and order new materials as needed
Creates and adheres to maintenance budgets
Enforces all health and safety rules and regulations according to state/federal laws and company protocol

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in engineering, administration or facility management
Bilingual English-Spanish
5+ years' experience in manufacturing maintenance management role
Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
Ability to keep track of and report on activity
Experience in planning maintenance operations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent leadership and management skills
Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff members
