Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Industrial Manufacturing Engineer with at least 5 years of experience to lead and execute capital projects, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and optimize manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale projects, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and working directly on the shop floor to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage capital projects from conception through commissioning, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements that increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve safety.
  • Work directly on the manufacturing floor to troubleshoot issues, optimize equipment, and ensure smooth operations.
  • Apply lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to drive efficiency.
  • Develop detailed process documentation, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
  • Support equipment selection, installation, qualification, and validation activities.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to manufacturing staff.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on capital projects and process improvements.
  • Proven experience leading large capital projects and managing budgets and timelines.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and automation.
  • Expertise in continuous improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in [industry-specific experience, e.g., automotive, electronics, consumer goods].
  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management (e.g., PMP).
