About this role:
The Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering leads the definition, design and implementation of the processes, lines, layouts, and technology for a Carrier manufacturing facility. This role leads the manufacturing and automation engineering team through equipment installation, process validation, capacity planning, and line optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads the design, layout, implementation, and long-term strategy of the site manufacturing engineering roadmap, processes, and production lines.
  • Directs the manufacturing and automation engineering team in defining processes, standard work, cycle times, capacity models, engineering standards, continuous improvement practices, and organizational capability development.
  • Owns equipment specification, procurement, installation, implementation, line transfers, and technology deployment while strengthening risk management expectations.
  • Applies Lean and advanced-manufacturing principles (poka-yoke, flow, automation, Industry 4.0) to drive transformation initiatives and maximize efficiency and capacity.
  • Defines, manages, and governs the capital (CAPEX) budget and portfolio prioritization, leading its execution on time and on budget to ensure full benefits realization.
  • Partners with Quality, NPI, and Operations to industrialize new products and achieve successful introduction.
  • Establishes engineering standards and documentation while developing and strengthening a strong engineering talent pipeline.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, including 3+ years leading engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Mechatronics Engineering; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience optimizing production lines, plant layouts and process flows for new or transferred products.
  • Proven ownership of capital (CAPEX) projects from justification through equipment specification, installation and integration.
  • Deep expertise in Lean and advanced-manufacturing principles (poka-yoke, flow, automation, Industry 4.0).
  • Experience partnering with Quality and NPI on product industrialization (APQP, PPAP) and successful launches.
  • Strong project-management skills managing scope, schedule, budget and cross-functional resources.
  • Experience in complex or fast-paced manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of automation, robotics and smart-manufacturing technologies.
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification.

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $117,500.00 - $234,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
