Standard Job Description
Lockheed Martin is seeking a dynamic and results-driven F-35 Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a team within the F-35 Production Engineering (PE) organization. This role is responsible for managing the team currently known as Strategic Corrective Action (SCA) and leading the team through an exciting period of transformation. This team will be expanding its scope to address three main pillars of Production Engineering: Corrective Action, Compliance and Continuous Improvement.
- Compliance:the team will implement controls within PE to ensure that processes and procedures are being executed per intent and that they are supporting business needs. This includes ICA, BTP review, iCAR coordination, Aero Code and Program Instruction Updates.
- Corrective Action: tactical support for Production Operations and other ME teams, including surge capacity, proactive R&R avoidance initiatives, align with the R&R council and serve as Subject Matter Experts across various skillsets within PE
- Continuous Improvement:grow the team in Lean/Six Sigma adoption including development of both Green and Black Belts and utilize this methodology to solve complex problems within the Production system.

• Leadership & Team Development:Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of Manufacturing Engineers, ensuring strong execution of strategic initiatives.
• Strategic Problem-Solving Drive RCCA initiatives to systematically reduce R&R, enhancing overall production efficiency.
• Project Management:Establish and oversee project execution plans, ensuring milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with production engineers, production operations, supplier quality, and other stakeholders to address key R&R drivers.
• Executive Reporting: Provide briefings and updates to executive leadership on the progress of critical projects.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
