Job Summary:

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer. Excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and self-directed individual to join a stable and reputable manufacturing company of engineered mechanical components. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, standardizing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost efficiency, and production reliability. This role will work closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to optimize workflows, resolve shop-floor issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives across CNC machining, programming, set up, fabrication, and assembly operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document, and standardize manufacturing processes, methods, and work instructions to improve productivity, consistency, and safety.
  • Analyze production data to identify and resolve process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and quality issues.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support on the shop floor, assisting operators and supervisors in problem-solving and technical troubleshooting.
  • Design and implement tooling, jigs, and fixtures to improve manufacturing accuracy, setup efficiency, and repeatability.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and CNC Programming teams to verify accuracy and conformity of parts and processes to specifications.
  • Evaluate and recommend manufacturing methods, equipment, and technology upgrades to support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) by developing process flows, work instructions, and required tooling.
  • Ensure alignment with ISO/Quality Management Systems and other applicable standards and regulations.
  • Train production personnel on new or revised processes and support adherence to standard operating procedures.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline required.
  • 5–7 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within an industrial, machining, or fabrication environment.
  • Proven experience with CNC machining processes, programming, set up, tooling design, and fixture development.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing methods, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Exposure to quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent) and experience working cross-functionally with quality teams.
  • Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) and ability to create or interpret engineering drawings and models.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
