Job description

Founded in 1965, Amuneal Manufacturing Corporation is a custom manufacturing company with two divisions, one that maintains a focus on the design and fabrication of magnetic shielding for its deeply technical customers, and one that focuses on the design and fabrication of proprietary product offerings for its high-end architectural customers that value unique designs for their interior environments. Since its inception, the Company has grown from a small family business to multiple divisions and offerings that serve a broad customer base, that includes scientists, architects, designers, and engineers.

Amuneal's ISO 9001 Certified Technical Products Division focuses on the fabrication of precision magnetic shields, designed to either protect sensitive instruments from external magnetic fields, or to protect an environment from a magnetic field emitted by instruments and/or energy sources. Today, Amuneal produces custom magnetic shields for the world's leaders in semiconductor fabrication equipment, supporting memory devices for consumer and commercial electronics, as well as for customers in the cryogenics, aerospace, and healthcare markets.

While Amuneal has grown to become the largest and most respected supplier of magnetic shielding in the country, the company recently expanded its manufacturing operation to Bangkok, Thailand to support the growing demand from customers based in SE Asia. This new 50,000 square foot facility, and its dedicated production team, makes Amuneal the only US based supplier of magnetic shielding with international capabilities.

Amuneal is looking for eager and motivated Manufacturing Engineers to join our team. • Develop strong relationships with our internal engineering, quality control, logistics, and fabrication teams to foster an open collaborative environment.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and quality of products.
  • Evaluate feedback from customers to assist in product development and product improvement efforts.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and proactive follow-through.
  • Help to translate technical product information into customer-friendly language and engineering drawings as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or strong experience in mechanical design in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with manufacturing processes (sheet metal manufacturing is preferred).
  • Experience reading and creating engineering drawings and understanding fabrication specifications.
  • Proficiency in using 3D modeling software (sheet metal experience is preferred), ERP Software, MS Office, and other digital tools.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • History of working collaboratively as a member of a high performing team.
  • A technical understanding of magnetic shielding and material science is preferred, but the demonstrated ability to acquire and retain technical information is a must.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding expectations, growth objectives, and goals.
