Job description

Mindex is looking for a UniData Software Engineer with strong experience in the UniData database environment and MultiValue Pick BASIC programming. In this role, you'll support the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing applications. You'll work alongside other engineers in an Agile environment to understand customer needs, develop reliable technical solutions, troubleshoot issues, and improve system functionality.

Compensation
$70,000 - $120,000

What You'll Accomplish:
  • Working with the UniData database environment and MultiValue Pick BASIC programming language
  • Assisting in determining customer requirements using problem analysis and critical thinking skills; defining and developing clear problem statements that represent customers' needs and requirements in collaboration with Sr. Software Engineers/Principal Engineer.
  • Designing and developing technical software solutions including software architecture.
  • Contributing to examining systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
  • Writing and performing testing that aligns with a methodology, assists in determining the scope for testing requirements agreed-upon by the team or business unit.
  • Documenting each aspect of an application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance.
  • Identifing bugs and assists the senior team members in the development process to fix bugs and address customer concerns.
  • Demonstrating an AI-first mindset by effectively leveraging AI-assisted tools and technologies to enhance productivity, accelerate problem-solving, improve quality, automate routine tasks, and drive innovation in the delivery of solutions and services.

Requirements

  • AS or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related area preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a UniData Software Engineer or Software Engineer
  • Knowledge of DesignBais
  • Experience using AI tools within the UniData ecosystem
  • Familiarity with the PrismHR application
  • Experience developing and integrating API
  • Experience working with EDI file formats
