Manufacturing Order Entry Coordinator

Manufacturing company with offices in the west suburbs of Chicago is hiring an Order Entry Coordinator. Candidates with at least 5 years of professional office experience will be considered. Ideal candidate will have work experience demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and strong math aptitude.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Office Manager, the Sales Support Coordinator will be responsible for order preparation and entry, customer communication and general sales support tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the work flow of sales orders from receipt of the invoice through production, including data entry, material allocation, scheduling, data transfer and follow-up.
  • Coordinate material and outside processing purchases including data entry, correspondence with vendors and follow-up.
  • Maintain material certifications
  • Respond to inquires regarding customer service issues and facilitate communication between sales staff and customers
  • Develop high level of proficiency with companyโ€™s proprietary software
  • Provide general support to inside sales staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Administrative experience in the steel industry helpful but not necessary
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software
  • High level of aptitude with basic math, logic and problem solving
  • Rigorous approach to double checking work; superior attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
