The Manufacturing Technican will report to a Team Manager.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under the general supervision of the Team Manager and Crew Leader, the incumbent will learn the Blending and Pre-Batch operations which will include the McCormick Recipe Management System (MRMS). Overtime as required.  This position will require flexibility with shift and workday assignments to support business need requirements and reduce overtime.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain records manually and within SAP, contributing to the achievement of department goals to meet 100% customer service
  • Ability to analyze the processes to determine next steps to be taken and to ensure all previous steps are complete
  • Communicate and document processes in a multi-task, multi-shift operation                             

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Acceptable attendance
  • Meets standards in overall performance rating in most recent performance review
  • Excellent numerical skills (TBT)
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions
  • Knowledge of weights and measures and the ability to compare them
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs. and roll a 300 lb. drum
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be detailed-oriented and able to multi-task
  • Ability and drive to make process improvement/change
  • One - two years of production/manufacturing experience
  • Ability to operate a stand-up rider forklift
  • Demonstrated ability to perform work-related duties in a safe manner
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to business needs including flexibility with shift and workday assignments to support business need. Including ability to work overtime/weekends required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of weights and measures and the ability to compare them
  • Familiarity with production documents                                                       
  • Some mechanical experience
  • SAP & PC experience

Base Salary: $19.73 - $29.59

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick's Dividend Program.
