Job description

Heltronics is a small wire harness and electrical mechanical manufacturer located next to Reading Regional Airport. We are growing and are looking for a self motivated individual for an entry level position that involves preparing wire for assembly. The ideal individual can work well alone and with others, reliable and on time, and has attention to detail.


The Wire Prep Associate plays a vital role in ensuring wire is prepared in a timely manner for final assembly. This position is an entry level position and will being learning about wire splicing. You may be standing or sitting for long periods of time in the same position. The ability to lift 45 lbs is required. With the right candidate, we will provide training and on the job experience as you learn further use of the different equipment that we operate. Opportunity for advancement for the self starter, self motivated type of person.


What we offer:

  • 40 hour work week: M-Th 6:30 am - 4 pm, Fri 6:30 am - 10:30 am.
  • No weekends and closed all major holidays
  • Generous PTO time - Earn 1 week PTO in 6 months, 2 weeks in 1 year with increases over time

Responsibilities:

  • Using machinery, splicing wires and applying heat shrink sleeving.
  • Using machinery and hand tools, strip wiring and install terminals.
  • Divide wiring into kits that are ready for the assembly team.


Required Qualifications:

  • Must be able to lift 45 lbs.
  • Able to traverse stairs, sometimes multiple times daily when moving stock around the building.


Preferred:

  • Experience in manufacturing, especially in small electronics and/or wire harness assembly
