Job description

HD Hyundai Power Transformers, USA is seeking applicants for Maintenance Team Members to join our team in Montgomery, Alabama.
MAINTENANCE TEAM MEMBERS:
  • Starting Pay Starts at $23 an hour and increases based on experience
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Repairs and maintains mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment.
  • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
  • Determine causes of operating problems, consult schematics, and order replacement parts.
  • Perform high voltage electrical repairs. (e.g. controls, relays)
  • Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications using electrical and electronic test equipment.
  • Lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify production electronic components, parts, switch panels, etc.
  • May test new equipment, troubleshoot operation, and make minor adjustments to equipment.
  • Inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
  • Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to the problem area, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Discards and replaces worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system, using hand tools and power tools, following blueprints, diagrams, and service manuals.
  • Repairs and maintains mechanical.
  • Maintain and complete all required records.
  • Follow all safety rules and practices.
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two-year technical degree in Industrial Technology required.
  • 3 years job-related experience required.
  • Ability to safely and efficiently perform all essential functions.
  • Ability to follow directions and maintain a professional work environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work within a multicultural manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions:
  • Manufacturing Environment. Extended periods of Standing, Walking, Crouching, Working at heights, Bending and Lifting on a daily basis.
  • Exposure to various safety hazards including electricity, heavy machinery and hazardous chemicals.

Reports to: Maintenance Manager.
