Job Description:
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrical/Mechanical Manufacturing Technician to join our team. This role involves assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic systems used in robotic or automated assembly cells. The ideal candidate has experience in electronics manufacturing, a strong understanding of robotics components, and the ability to interpret technical schematics and blueprints.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical blueprints.
  • Conduct functional testing and troubleshooting of robotic electrical systems to ensure optimal performance. This will include both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Assist in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues.
  • Assist in the installation and calibration of robotic components, including motors, PLCs, and embedded systems.
  • Assist mechanical engineers in the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems.
  • Interpret and create technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics using CAD software.
  • Collect and analyze data to support engineering decisions and design improvements.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment.
  • Support the engineering team in prototype development and product testing.
  • Conduct quality control inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Document test results, maintenance activities, and equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production teams to optimize mechanical processes.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in an organized manner.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements and participate in training programs.

What your background should look like
  • Education: Associate degree, technical diploma, or certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years in electrical manufacturing, preferably in robotics, automation, or electromechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with robotic systems, motion control, and industrial automation components.
  • Experience with electrical testing tools and troubleshooting techniques for robotic systems.
  • Understanding of embedded systems, PLCs, microcontrollers, and motor drivers is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in electrical and robotic assembly.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $68,400 - 102,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
