Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries is looking to hire a Sr. Test Operator (Sr. Waferfab Technician) to support the Fab 9 Test facility across a variety of test equipment and state of the art products (Commercial and Automotive RF Mixed Signal, Silicon Photonics) in wafer and package forms. This Sr. Test Operator will be responsible for New Product Introduction (NPI) and development support, which includes daily running of tools in a manual mode and helping to identify issues throughout execution of the process flow. This role is on the N1 Shift (7PM - 7AM - Sunday / Monday / Tuesday and rotating Saturdays).

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute the NPI/Production flow and identify flow inhibitors

  • Monitor KPI (key performance indicators) for Test Limited yield issues

  • Support "Manufacturing Readiness" actions for new products (NPI) as they enter volume ramp phase

  • Support improve NPI/Manufacturing test processes for leading edge products

  • Collaborate with team members in structured problem solving and root-cause analysis on quality incidents

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor / manager

Required Qualifications:

  • Education - High School degree and/or equivalent

  • Experience - minimum 4 years' experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment and/or relevant manufacturing experience specific to product flow and root cause analysis

  • Fluency in English language - both Written & Verbal

  • Physical capacity demands - ability to lift up to 35 lbs. on occasion, standing / walking for long periods of time, ability to wear any personal protective equipment as needed

  • Strong communications skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education - associate's degree in engineering technology or related field

  • Experience - 4+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience and hands on mechanical experience

  • Lean tools skills to remove waste, standardize, and sustain improvements

  • Knowledge of Semiconductor Test processes

  • Knowledge of Semiconductor Fabrication

  • Team player with positive attitude

Expected Salary Range

$45,800.00 - $87,600.00
