Plasman is currently seeking a new member to join our ENGINEERING team as a:

MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Plasman, you will play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. You will work in a collaborative environment, driving process improvements and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all engineering related activities associated with launching new products including run at rate, process development and pre-production preparation.

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes, cell and plant layouts that enhance productivity, and reduce costs.

  • Analyze existing manufacturing procedures, such as workflows, shop floor inventory control, and utilizations; participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve safety, efficiency and promote product quality.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, research and implement new equipment, racking, systems and processes.

  • Create detailed documentation and work instructions for processes, procedures, and equipment maintenance.

  • Assist in the troubleshooting and resolution of production issues to minimize downtime.

  • Ensure personal and associate awareness of all quality and business-related operating systems (ISO/IATF).

Qualifications, Skills and Experience We're Looking For
  • Post secondary degree or diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering; a combination of education, training and years working experience will be considered.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is highly desirable.

  • Proven experience in process improvement and lean manufacturing principles.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Proficient in CAD system (CADKEY, Keycreator, SolidWorks or AutoCAD)

  • Understanding of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.

  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.

This position offers a compensation range of $80,000 – $90,000, dependent on skills and experience.
