Job description

Job Title: Transmission Technician

Location: [Phoenix, AZ]
Job Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Transmission Technician with at least two years of hands-on experience to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding automatic and manual transmissions while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose transmission issues using diagnostic tools and road tests
  • Repair, rebuild, and replace automatic and manual transmissions
  • Remove and reinstall transmissions and related components
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections
  • Accurately document repairs and labor performed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding repair needs and timelines

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional transmission repair experience
  • Strong knowledge of automatic and manual transmission systems
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical transmission issues
  • Familiarity with diagnostic equipment
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Must supply own tools

Compensation & Schedule

  • Flat-rate commission pay – no salary cap, so the sky’s the limit
  • Monday–Friday: 7 AM–6 PM
  • Saturday: 7 AM–5 PM
